On the show, storage lockers that aren't had their rent paid in the last three months are auctioned off. Brandi and Jarrod, who are the owners of and manage the "Now and Then thrift store located in Orange, California, participated in the program in hope of purchasing storage units at a bargain price. The couple had no idea that the show could create reality-TV stars from the couple! It was a huge success due to the couple who had a very shrewd approach to their bids during the show, became stars. Their success in the reality show has helped them expand their business. They also opened a second store in addition to one they already run. They also were the main characters of a spin-off TV show called 'Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job.'
